One Newspaper's 'Granny' Plan

Glad to see my new piece at The Nation on the Boston Herald's embrace this week of sexist attacks on Elizabeth Warren (enlarging on one of my posts here a couple of day back) seems to be gaining wide attention.  For a look at some key historical background: my Random House book Tricky Dick and the Pink Lady  (just out in new print and ebook editons) probes what Helen Gahagan Douglas faced in her famous race for the U.S. Senate in 1950 vs. Richard Nixon.  I also wrote a piece for The Nation about it recently.
